A HIGH-VALUE target was neutralized, and over P400,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized during a successful joint buy-bust operation at approximately 7:53 p.m. along Azucena Street in Barangay Mintal, Tugbok District, on Monday, April 27.

Police Station 9 (Tugbok), led by station commander PMAJ Neil M. Vistar, conducted the sting operation that led to the arrest of alias Bagie.

During the arrest, authorities confiscated suspected illegal drugs with an estimated street value of P414,800.

Davao City Police Office (DCPO) director Col Peter B. Madria credited the unified effort of multiple units for the successful operation.

The sting was a collaborative effort between the Tugbok Police, the City Intelligence Unit, and personnel from both the 1st and 2nd City Mobile Force Companies.

“This accomplishment reflects the relentless efforts and discipline of our personnel who continuously place themselves at risk to ensure the safety of Davao City,” Madria stated.

The arrest is part of the DCPO’s broader campaign against illegal drug networks in the region.

The suspect is currently in police custody, facing a charge for violating Republic Act 9165 ( Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
