THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) launched a series of surprise inspections and checkpoints on Sept. 15, 2026.
Led by DCPO director PCOL Peter Bauzon Madria, the inspection sweep covered strategic sector checkpoints, including Police Station 4 (Sasa) along Old Airport Road, Police Station 6 (Bunawan) in Prk. 10, Bosque, and Police Station 17 (Baliok) in Prk. 8, Bago Saka, Bago Gallera.
The initiative aimed to boost police visibility, ensure strict personnel accountability, and guarantee the seamless implementation of public safety measures throughout the region.
During the inspections, Madria underscored the core values of discipline, vigilance, and professionalism among deployed law enforcement officers.
He reminded personnel to maintain high visibility, uphold courteous engagement with civilians, and exhibit proactive policing as part of their day-to-day duties.
Furthermore, the city director stressed that checkpoints function beyond routine compliance measures; they serve as critical deterrents against criminality, vital tools for intercepting lawless elements, and a direct reinforcement of community safety throughout Davao City.
