THE DAVAO City Planning and Development Office has recorded almost 800 active users in its latest DC Geo-Business digital platform, which launched last April 2026.
During the iSpeak media forum on Sept. 24, Plans Program Division acting head Errol John Denosta said users gave positive feedback about the app, particularly noticing the faster business permit transactions.
The app also comes with a chat system to inform business owners and applicants of concerns such as lack of documents or requirements.
He also said that it ensures data privacy and secure firewalls run by web developers to prevent hacking incidents.
Geo-tagged photo capture and digital mapping features are included to accurately record business establishments without the hassle of paperwork.
The DC Geo-Business is in line with the City Government of Davao’s initiative to provide the public with more convenient services and streamline processes through digital innovations.
Citizens can download the app via the Google Play Store or iOS App Store and will be required to create an account upon installation.
New users will need to set their business location, upload photos, fill in details, and write a review before the final submission.
