THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) has launched a massive, coordinated motorcycle patrol operation spanning multiple major districts to intensify anti-criminality efforts, tighten traffic law enforcement, and maximize police visibility across the city.
Under the direct supervision of DCPO city director Colonel Peter B. Madria, the high-visibility operations were activated on Tuesday evening, June 9, 2026.
The strategic patrols heavily blanketed the areas of responsibility of five key urban stations: Police Station 1 (Sta. Ana), Police Station 4 (Sasa), Police Station 16 (Ma-a), Police Station 3 (Talomo), and Police Station 15 (Ecoland).
The tactical push was executed in close coordination with Police Lieutenant Colonel Mark Anthony Garcia, Chief of the Traffic Enforcement Unit (TEU), alongside civilian force multipliers from the TEU Advisory Support Group, led by its president, Mr. Junnie Samsi.
By integrating motorcycle-mounted officers with community auxiliary groups, the DCPO effectively expanded its patrol coverage into tight alleyways and high-traffic bottlenecks that standard patrol cars cannot easily penetrate.
PCOL Madria emphasized that the proactive deployment is aimed at reinforcing community confidence while sending a strong deterrent signal to criminal elements.
“These motorcycle patrol operations demonstrate the value of partnership between the DCPO and our auxiliary groups,” Madria stated. “Through coordinated efforts, we strengthen our capacity to enforce traffic regulations, deter criminality, and reassure the public through our visible presence.”
The city director reiterated that the DCPO will sustain these aggressive, mobile policing strategies to maintain long-term peace, discipline, and public safety across Davao’s commercial and residential hubs.
