TNT subscribers can now make Video Calls without using third-party apps

TNT subscribers all over the country can now make video calls as easily as making regular calls, and without the need for third-party apps, by using their Video Over LTE (ViLTE)-enabled phones.

Powered by ViLTE technology, TNT subscribers can enjoy high-quality video calls for a more immersive way to connect with their loved ones and friends.

Not only does the technology provide stable connections in crowded environments, ViLTE is also designed to be more battery-efficient, allowing TNT subscribers to multitask flawlessly, so they can stream, browse, and use other apps while on a call.

ViLTE calls are conveniently charged to the caller’s voice subscription. This means that TNT subscribers with an active Unli Calls offer like SurfSaya can virtually enjoy unlimited video calls with ease. One also does not need an active offer to receive calls from another ViLTE user.

How to enjoy Video Calls powered by ViLTE

To activate ViLTE, TNT subscribers must first ensure that VoLTE is enabled on their Android device by following these steps:

1. Go to Settings and choose Mobile or Cellular Network

2. Enable VoLTE / HD Voice

3. Toggle ViLTE / Video over LTE / Video Calling to ON

To enjoy ViLTE calls, both parties should have VoLTE and ViLTE enabled on their smartphones and be within TNT’s LTE or 5G coverage. TNT’s ViLTE also works on WiFi.

For the best experience, subscribers are encouraged to update their Android devices to the latest software version and use VoLTE- and ViLTE-capable smartphones from top manufacturers, including Samsung, Huawei, OPPO, ZTE, Infinix, Itel, Tecno, vivo, and Xiaomi.

TNT runs on Smart’s 4G and 5G networks, which continue to expand nationwide to deliver an enhanced customer experience. Under this infrastructure, TNT subscribers also enjoy ultra-low latency for seamless and lag-free video calls, live streaming, and mobile gaming, among other high-bandwidth activities.

“Our sustained network investments enable us to stay true to Smart’s DNA of democratizing the most advanced mobile experiences and making the latest innovations accessible to more Filipinos. With ViLTE, we are enhancing everyday communication by empowering our customers with a clearer and more immersive way to connect,” said Lloyd R. Manaloto, FVP at Smart.
