Globe continues to respond to communities affected by recent weather disturbances, with full restoration completed in areas hit by Super Typhoon Nando, and ongoing assessments and support in areas now affected by Typhoon Opong.

Super Typhoon Nando: Full Restoration Achieved

Globe has fully restored connectivity in all 109 municipalities affected by Super Typhoon Nando. This includes impacted areas in North Luzon across 15 provinces and 276 cities and municipalities under Globe’s coverage. Restoration was completed through coordinated field efforts addressing outages caused by power and transmission disruptions.

Relief efforts have also concluded in Cagayan and Ilocos Norte, where Globe, in coordination with Rise Against Hunger (RAH), deployed 600 ready-to-eat meal packs to Brgy. Pasaleng in Pagudpud and Brgy. Paddaya in Aparri.

Meanwhile, Globe previously deployed 13 Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging (LTLC) stations across affected sites in Cagayan and Ilocos Norte, helping residents regain contact with loved ones during the height of the typhoon’s impact.

Typhoon Opong: Ongoing Assessments Across South Luzon and Visayas

Globe is currently assessing the impact of Typhoon Opong, which has affected 16 provinces: five in South Luzon and eleven across Visayas, with Camarines Sur and Samar as the hardest hit provinces.

In South Luzon, Opong disrupted Globe services in 108 municipalities, with 30 municipalities reporting outages due to power and transmission issues. Efforts are underway to restore services as quickly and safely as possible.

“We continue to give our #AlagangGlobe to restore services and bring communities back online,” said Yoly Crisanto, Globe’s Chief Sustainability and Corporate Communications Officer. “We remain committed to showing up with urgency, empathy, and care where it matters most.”

Globe field teams are now closely coordinating with power utilities and LGUs in these areas to restore services and ensure connectivity returns as quickly and safely as possible. Standby Libreng Tawag and Libreng Charging (LTLC) stations are being prepared for activation based on needs on the ground.

More updates will be provided as the situation develops. Visit the GlobeICON social media pages for the latest information.
