THE OFFICE of the Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) on Tuesday reminded beneficiaries and their families of the payout for the Expanded Centenarian Law cash subsidy.

A total of 842 senior citizens who turned 80, 85, 90, and 95 from Jan. 1 to May 31, 2025, will receive a P10,000 cash subsidy.

OSCA head Lorenzo Borja shared the schedule during the interview with the city-run disaster radio on Tuesday.

The first district is scheduled on July 22, and the second district is set for July 23. Meanwhile, the third district is on July 24. The payout will be at People’s Park from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

While it is encouraged to be physically present, bedridden seniors can authorize their direct family members to claim on their behalf, Borja said.

Representatives may visit the OSCA office to comply with the requirements for the authorization.

The Expanded Centenarians Act or Republic Act No. 11982 of 2024 provides cash gifts to senior citizens who reach specific milestone ages: P10,000 for 80,85,90,95, and P100,000 for 100 years old.

Borja urged senior citizens to submit their applications for eligibility, which only requires a 2×2 ID photo, OSCA ID, and any national government-issued ID.

OSCA waived the certificate of live birth requirement as seniors face financial and logistical challenges in late registration of birth.
