THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) is ramping up security for the Christmas and New Year festivities, following a high-level meeting between acting director Col Mannan C. Muarip and Mayor Sebastian Duterte.
The two officials met on Dec. 9, 2025, at Matina Enclaves, Davao City, to coordinate strategies to ensure the safety OF residents and visitors during the busy season.
They emphasized the critical need for heightened police visibility across the city, along with proactive crime prevention strategies and coordinated deployment of personnel in vital areas.
“Our goal is to safeguard communities during the Christmas and New Year festivities,” Muarip said.
Muarip also formally presented the first edition of the DCPO’s official publication to Duterte.
The inaugural issue is titled “The First 98 Days of Leadership,” which documents the accomplishments, initiatives, and reforms implemented under the police officer’s tenure.
