THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) hauled to jail 111 suspects following a series of anti-crime operations from Sept. 13 to 19 in various barangays.
City director PCOL Peter B. Madria said the week-long campaign targeted illegal drugs, gambling, wanted fugitives, and loose firearms.
For instance, DCPO units executed 40 anti-illegal drug operations, leading to the arrest of 43 suspects and the confiscation of 254.65 grams of shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P1,731,620.00, alongside 24.40 grams of marijuana valued at P2,928.00.

Law enforcement agents also launched 45 operations, resulting in the arrest of 45 fugitives, including 18 on the list of most wanted.
Illegal gambling and loose firearms
To curb illegal activities and safeguard communities, DCPO carried out 20 anti-illegal gambling operations, arresting 20 gamblers, confiscating P5,120 in bet money, and filing 20 corresponding cases.
Meanwhile, operations targeting loose firearms netted three arrested suspects and the seizure of three firearms.
An additional 15 firearms were surrendered, while 54 others were turned in for safekeeping, leading to three formal cases filed.
