THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) issued over 4,000 citation tickets in a single week during a city-wide crackdown on local ordinance violations.

Between July 12 and July 18, 2026, police units recorded a total of 4,010 citation tickets issued across various establishments and public spaces. According to the DCPO, the intensified operation was launched in response to reports and complaints from concerned community members.

Under the leadership of DCPO director PCOL Peter B. Madria, police forces targeted high-density public areas and selected commercial establishments following reports of persistent compliance issues.

”The intensified operations are not solely punitive in nature but are aimed at raising public awareness and reinforcing the importance of compliance with city ordinances as essential measures in maintaining peace, order, and public safety,” the DCPO stated.

The DCPO reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the local government unit’s broader campaign to maintain peace and order, urging all Davaoeños to observe local laws consistently.
