MANILA, Philippines — In a powerful demonstration of community, solidarity, and athletic spirit, the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), in partnership with MILO Philippines, National Council on Disability Affairs, and RunRio, successfully staged Walk Run Roll 2026. Organized in observance of National Disability Rights Week, the nationwide initiative brought together thousands of participants to advance the national advocacy of Sports for All and champion disability rights across the country.
The event highlighted the collective responsibility of government agencies, corporate leaders, sports organizations, and local communities to ensure that sports environments are accessible, safe, and welcoming to every Filipino.
For decades, the PSC and MILO have been dedicated to building tomorrow’s champions. Through Walk Run Roll, both organizations reinforced their shared belief in Sports for All, a vision where true champions are defined not by physical limits, but by courage, perseverance, and equal opportunity.

True to its name, the event provided accessible entry points for participants of all backgrounds and skill levels:
- “Walk” brought together families, friends, and community advocates walking side by side in support of inclusion.
- “Run” engaged fitness enthusiasts, competitive runners, and advocacy groups pushing for active lifestyles.
- “Roll” created dedicated space for wheelchair users and individuals with mobility impairments to fully participate and compete.
Sharing the same course and crossing the very same finish line, participants demonstrated how sports can unite people across diverse abilities.
“At the PSC, we believe that inclusion is intentional. It is not an afterthought. It does not happen by chance. It is reflected in the opportunities we create, the barriers we remove, and the spaces we open so that every Filipino, regardless of ability, can participate with dignity and confidence,” stated the Philippine Sports Commission commissioner Walter K. Torres. In tandem with the event, PSC reaffirmed its commitment to upgrading sports facilities nationwide to ensure physical accessibility becomes a practical reality across the country.

The event’s success also underscored the critical role of private sector partnerships in driving long-term social impact. Through strategic collaboration, private partners, schools, sports clubs, and running communities proved that business and grassroots action can effectively break down barriers for the persons with disabilities community.
As the curtains close on this year’s edition, organizers, partners, and participants leave the track with a shared pledge to keep pushing for equal representation, accessibility, and inclusion—proving that every step, stride, and roll contributes to a stronger, more inclusive Philippines where everyone has the opportunity to join, participate, and thrive.
