2026 Asian Games bronze medalist for Karate Rica Torres-Foronda will be in Davao City for a two-day seminar at the AAK Davao Dojo.
Davao City – 2026 Asian Games bronze medalist Rica Torres-Foronda and Philippine National team coach Sonny Montalvo will hold a two-day Kata and Kumite Seminar this 10-11 October at the Association for the Advancement of Karatedo (AAK) Davao Dojo.
“Its an honor to have our Asian Games bronze medalist Rica Torres-Foronda here in Davao City along with sensei Sonny Montalvo in our special seminar this weekend. They can truly inspire the kids after recent success during the Games,” said Karate Pilipinas Sports Federation Inc. Region XI Director and AAK Davao chief instructor Rommel Tan, Thursday, 8 October.
Torres-Foronda, an AAK blackbelt, recently won a bronze medal in the Team Kata event along with Samantha Veguillas and Ysabielle Arrogante. She also bagged a silver (Women’s Senior Kata) and bronze (Women’s Team Kata) at the 13th Southeast Asian Karatedo Federation (SEAKF) Championships held in Vietnam.
The Kata and Kumite Seminar which will start at 8 a.m. will be exclusive for AAK members only, mostly from Cagayan de Oro, General Santos City and Davao City.
