ZAMBOANGA CITY – Maxim Rides & Food Delivery has extended assistance to full-time delivery rider Michael Henry Dealco after a fire destroyed his family’s home in Purok Presa Max, Barangay Camino Nuevo, Zamboanga City, on October 16, 2026.
The fire broke out at around 9 a.m., affecting 68 families and destroying 68 houses. Dealco approached the Maxim office for assistance after losing all his belongings, including his rider gear. With a four-month-old baby to care for, he now faces the challenge of recovering from the incident while providing for his family.
To help ease his burden, Maxim provided Dealco with a food basket and two weeks of 0% commission support. The company will also provide him with a new set of uniform gear to replace the items he lost in the fire. These forms of assistance aim to help meet his family’s immediate needs and support him as he resumes his work.
Despite the setback, Dealco remains committed to supporting his family as they work toward rebuilding their lives. He expressed his gratitude to Maxim for the assistance, saying, “Nais kong magpasalamat sa Maxim sa ibinigay nilang tulong sa panahong nangangailangan ang kanilang mga rider. Maraming salamat, Maxim and admin, dahil hindi n’yo po kami pinababayaan sa oras ng aming pangangailangan.”
Through initiatives like this, Maxim continues to support its delivery partners during difficult times, helping them navigate unexpected hardships while recognizing their contributions to the platform.
