THE COAST Guard District Southeastern Mindanao (CGDSEM) has placed all its operational units on heightened alert and established Passenger Assistance Centers across major ferry terminals in the Davao Region ahead of the Undas 2026 travel rush.
In a statement released Thursday, CGDSEM announced that medical teams, nursing personnel, and K9 field units have been deployed to key ports and ferry terminals to provide immediate medical response, passenger assistance, and security screening during the observance of All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.
The heightened security posture covers seven Coast Guard stations, 56 sub-stations, and attached operational commands across Southeastern Mindanao.
Maritime authorities said the measures aim to ensure safe, orderly, and convenient sea travel as thousands of passengers head to the provinces, coastal communities, and nearby islands to visit memorial parks.
Coast Guard personnel will maintain round-the-clock monitoring, vessel inspections, and port security checks throughout the week.
CGDSEM urged sea commuters to remain vigilant, observe maritime safety guidelines, and cooperate with security personnel at all boarding terminals and inspection checkpoints.
