VANNI Garcia of Team W-Autosports is crowned Class A Division champion in the 23rd edition of the Hot August Races on Aug 23, held at the Ciudades Business Park.
Garcia performed his top speed at the event’s race track with a recorded elapsed time (ET) of 6.85 seconds, and a reaction time of 0.57 seconds. He is also the winner at the Quick 8 event (eight fastest cars during time trial), and the top qualifier of the 2026 Hot August Races.
First runner-up winner of the Class A Division was Adrian Go with an ET of 6.9 seconds and reaction time of 0.65 seconds. Both Garcia and Go were awarded prizes, trophies and merchandise from PrimeLube Lubricants.
The 2026 Hot August Races 1/8 mile legal drag racing event launched from Aug. 21 to 23, and was joined by entries coming from categories of Diesel, Classes, A, B, and C The competition was organized by the Davao Classic & Sports Car Club, in collaboration with PrimeLube Lubricants, AMFM Productions, Ciudades, and the City Government of Davao.
As Davao City’s longest-running legal drag racing competition, it provides a platform for local car enthusiasts and professional drivers to enjoy high-speed races.
