THE EASTERN Mindanao Command (EastMinCom) is set to host its first-ever Reservist Challenge starting from July 11 to July 13.
During the Davao Peace and Security Press Corps briefing at The Royal Mandaya Hotel on Wednesday, July 9, Lieutenant Colonel Salvacion Evangelista, EastMinCom spokesperson, said the activity will bring together reservists from the Philippine Army, Philippine Navy, and Philippine Air Force.
“This will help capacitate our reservists and enhance their respective skills so that they are already oriented when they are integrated into our regular forces,” she said.
Evangelista also added that this event will test participants through a series of scenario-based exercises to simulate real-world defense operations.
“They are given different scenarios that they must overcome. This activity will also help them in their integration into our regular forces,” she added.
The challenge also seeks to foster camaraderie and unity among reservists from different service branches.
In a statement, Evangelista said that this activity “will not only create camaraderie and unity in our respective reservists but also their respective skills on how they operate in different situations that will be given to them.”
“This will start on July 11 as the opening, but July 12 jud mag start ang mga respective activities nila and exercises, then closing will be on July 13,” Evangelista said
