THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) has reported a productive week of anti-crime operations, leading to the arrest of 68 individuals and the confiscation of substantial amounts of illegal drugs and firearms.

The accomplishments, spanning from June 22 to June 28, 2025, were achieved under the command of acting city director, Col. Hansel M. Marantan, who concluded his 11-month tenure on Monday, June 30, 2025.

According to the DCPO report, the week’s efforts focused on four key directives:

On Anti-Illegal Drugs, the DCPO conducted 21 anti-illegal drug operations, resulting in the apprehension of 25 individuals. These operations yielded 72.0410 grams of shabu with an estimated street drug price (SDP) of P489,878.80, and 12.9000 grams of marijuana valued at P1,548.00.

Intensified efforts against illegal gambling led to 11 arrests, and a total of P2,895 in bet money was confiscated. Also, 11 corresponding cases were filed against the violators.

Also, the DCPO executed 30 operations targeting wanted individuals, successfully arresting 30 persons. This figure includes the six “most wanted persons” and 24 other individuals with outstanding warrants.

Meanwhile, five operations aimed at curbing loose firearms resulted in the apprehension of two individuals and the seizure of 10 unlicensed guns.

Additionally, four firearms were turned in for safekeeping under “Oplan Katok,” and three cases related to illegal firearms were filed in court.
