THE OPENING day for the 8th Indayog sa Tagum Dance Congress and 7th Koryo Mindanao was a celebration of artistry and movement — beginning with matinee performances from our talented participating elementary schools, followed by the vibrant Danza Parada that led us to the formal opening ceremony.
The events–held at Herminigildo Baloyo MD Hall, City of Tagum Cultural Center–were attended by Alma L. Uy, Dr. Elino Lontok-Dioko of Dance Theater Manila, who shared her dance inspirations with the delegates, and Val Lozada, president of KMI, who delivered his dance summit response.

A special highlight of the event was the signing of the Dance Development Program agreement between Tagum City Tourism, Arts, and Culture Council, Inc., and En AVant Performing Arts School-Davao, represented by Alma L. Uy and Vanessa Alexandra Rafael.

Department of Tourism XI regional director Tanya Rabat-Tan also sent her message through her representative, and the night was capped with breathtaking gala performances from the participating schools.
