THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) launched several operations targeting illegal drugs, gambling, loose firearms, and wanted persons from Feb. 15 to Feb. 21, resulting in the arrest of 108 individuals across various high-stakes operations.

Acting city police director Col Mannan C. Muarip said DCPO units conducted 44 anti-illegal drug operations, netting 46 suspects.

Authorities reported the seizure of approximately 66.6 grams of shabu with a street value estimated at ₱452,868, alongside a smaller quantity of marijuana.

Police also served warrants to 47 individuals, 20 of whom were classified as “most wanted” on the city’s high-priority list.

Simultaneously, the DCPO moved to clear the streets of loose firearms. Eight operations resulted in the recovery or surrender of eight weapons, with two suspects taken into custody.

The week-long sweep also targeted illegal gambling, with 12 operations resulting in 13 arrests and the filing of 11 formal cases.

Muarip said, “These achievements reflect not only the dedication of our officers but the strong partnership we share with the Local Government Unit and the citizens of Davao.”
