THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) capped off a high-intensity week of operations from February 8 to 14, 2026, resulting in the arrest of 112 individuals across the city’s key crime focus areas.
Under the direction of acting city director Mannan C. Muarip, the week-long offensive targeted illegal drugs, gambling, loose firearms, and the region’s most elusive fugitives.
In 48 separate operations, police neutralized a network of 54 suspects. Authorities seized over 65 grams of shabu and 126 grams of marijuana, with a combined street value estimated at nearly P460,000.
A total of 46 wanted persons were taken into custody. Notably, half of these individuals were classified as “most wanted persons,” representing a major victory for the local justice system.
Targeting the proliferation of illegal weapons, nine operations led to the recovery or surrender of 11 firearms. Two suspects were arrested in connection with these seizures.
Ten individuals were apprehended in nine operations, with eight formal cases already filed in court.
Muarip attributed the accomplishments to the burgeoning partnership between law enforcement and grassroots leadership.
“These achievements reflect not only the dedication of the men and women of DCPO but also the strong partnership with the community, barangay officials, and the local government unit,” the DCPO stated.
The Davao City Police Office emphasized that all 112 arrests were conducted with strict adherence to Police Operational Procedures and human rights mandates.
DCPO also said the surge in operations comes as part of a broader strategy to maintain Davao City’s reputation as a primary hub for safety and order in Mindanao.
