THE PHILIPPINE Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Service Office XI (PSA RSSO XI) is alerting the public about ongoing phishing scams involving individuals pretending to be PSA personnel and offering fake assistance related to the National ID.
Scammers use text messages, phone calls, emails, and video conferencing platforms such as Google Meet to deceive individuals into sharing personal information. They falsely claim to provide services such as updating National ID information or facilitating ID delivery.
PSA RSSO XI strongly condemns these fraudulent activities and urges the public to stay vigilant. The public is advised to avoid engaging with suspicious individuals, refrain from clicking unknown links, and never share personal information with unverified contacts. Any suspicious incidents should be reported immediately.
