PHILIPPINE Bank of Communications (PBCOM) president and CEO Patricia May Siy has been recognized at the Asia’s Influential Leaders Awards 2026 for her significant contribution to advancing Philippine banking excellence.
Under Ms. Siy’s leadership, PBCOM has delivered steady growth and achieved a major milestone with the granting of its Universal Bank status, strengthening its ability to serve clients with a broader range of financial solutions. She has guided the Bank in focusing on innovation, sound governance, and customer service, ensuring that PBCOM remains a trusted institution in the industry.

PBCOM was named among Forbes Asia’s Best Under A Billion in both 2025 and 2024, highlighting its consistent financial performance and strategic growth. It also received the Golden Arrow Award for Corporate Governance from the Institute of Corporate Directors Philippines in 2023 and 2022, underscoring its adherence to high standards of transparency and accountability. In 2021, PBCOM ranked 4th among Top Fixed-Income Dealing Participants by PDS Group, while earlier, it was honored with The Pagtugon Award by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in 2017 for its commitment to financial consumer protection.
