More than 500 participate in life-saving skills campaign in Mindanao

DAVAO CITY – More than 500 individuals from different establishments and agencies participated in the Mindanao leg of the free Hands-Only Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training campaign initiated by SM Supermalls and Arise Philippines in partnership with Department of Health – Health Emergency Management Bureau (DOH-HEMB).

As part of the vision of building a resilient nation, three separate Hands-Only CPR training campaigns were conducted at SM City General Santos, SM City Davao, and SM Lanang on June 3 and 4.

More than 190 mall employees and partner agencies participated in the SM Lanang session, over 180 in SM City General Santos, and more than 170 in SM City Davao, taking part in engaging demonstrations and hands-on activities that reinforced the importance of equipping everyday Filipinos with life-saving skills crucial during emergencies.

During the hands-on demonstration, participants simulated CPR responses proper for an adult and infant person in need of CPR intervention.
Through the campaign, SM Supermalls and Arise Philippines aim to promote public awareness and capacitate frontliners and ordinary citizens in cardiac emergency responses.
