FITNESS meets environmental action as the Earth Day Run 2026 officially kicks off in Davao City on April 12 in SM Lanang Premier, bringing together runners, communities, and sustainability advocates in the first stop of the nationwide race series.
The event is expected to draw strong participation from Mindanao, with over half of the race slots already filled ahead of race day.
The Earth Day Run will continue in Manila on April 19 and conclude in Cebu on April 26, targeting a total of 20,000 participants across all locations.
Organizers aim to engage not only individual runners but also companies, as corporate groups sign up to promote health, wellness, and corporate social responsibility.
Dennis Reamon, project Lead of TECNO CAMON 50 Series Earth Day Run, said that this is more than just a race—it’s an advocacy movement.
He added that through their partnership with Tzu Chi Foundation Philippines, they are promoting sustainability and encouraging people to take part in protecting our environment.
Participants can choose from multiple race categories, including 21K, 10K, 5K, and a 1K Dog Run.
Registration fees range from ₱1,200 to ₱2,100, with part of the proceeds supporting environmental initiatives through Tzu Chi Foundation Philippines.
Runners will receive eco-friendly race kits like reusable cups and bags, while selected participants can enjoy sustainable giveaways from sponsors, including plantable items and recycled products.
The event also highlights waste reduction efforts, recycling education, and green practices implemented throughout the race.
Reamon emphasized that the event is designed to inspire collective action, noting that the growing number of corporate participants reflects a shared commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
