THE DAVAO Travel Agency Association (DTAA) kicked off the 16th year of its annual Davao Mega Travel Sale last Feb. 11 at Ayala Abreeza Mall, offering new travel packages and welcoming new partners for the latest campaign.
Pia Lourdes Partoza, past president of DTAA, said this year’s mega sale will feature 27 exhibitors and will expand the roster of destinations to visit.
She also introduced the variety of travel and activities that clients can choose from, ranging from sky, land, and the brand-new river cruising activities.
“We have new packages to offer to our clients, and you know, to the public as well. WE also have new destinations like Antarctica, Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. We also have a river cruise for those who love the water, and it is very popular when it comes to the senior market, ” Partoza said.
Meanwhile, she reminded the public to be cautious with fly-by-night travel operators in booking trips, and to make sure they deal only with agencies with the necessary documents to operate.
“As much as possible, you have to be careful, and you need to know the travel agencies you deal with. Make sure to check if they are DOT-accredited and check their requirements,” she added.
The DTAA encouraged travelers to take advantage of the promos while ensuring they book only with accredited and legitimate travel agencies for a safe and hassle-free trip.
