THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) Tourist Police Unit facilitated the return of an expensive electronic device to a student on Monday afternoon, April 13.

Maj Roel C. Ibañez, chief of the TPU, said the officers turned over a lost iPad Pro (256GB), valued at approximately ₱90,000, to its rightful owner at the Roxas Night Market.

The device belonged to a 21-year-old optometry student from Mindanao Medical Foundation College and a resident of Agdao, Davao City. The turnover took place at approximately 5 p.m., coordinated by TPU personnel alongside PSSA Elizabeth Biating and PSSA TL Rinalyn Cambonga.

Upon receiving the tablet, the owner verified that the device was intact and thanked the police for their help.

The DCPO stated that the incident highlights the TPU’s ongoing commitment to public service and the safeguarding of personal property, ensuring that both locals and tourists feel secure within the city’s popular landmarks.
