AFFIRMING its excellence in sustainability, leadership, and workplace wellness, Ayala Corporation took home three awards at the recent Asia Corporate Excellence & Sustainability Awards (ACES), Asia’s premier award for leadership and sustainability.

Ayala was recognized as one of Asia’s Most Influential Companies, Top Community Centric Companies, and Top Workplaces, joining a roster of the region’s biggest names in business. It won across all categories where it was nominated, a rare sweep in the awards.

“These recognitions reflect Ayala’s enduring purpose— to build businesses that uplift lives and create value for all our stakeholders. It is also a testament to our people, whose passion and integrity drive our mission every day,” said Francisco Romero Milán, Ayala Corporation managing director and corporate resources group head.

Winners of the annual awards are selected based on a rigorous evaluation process.

Selected among Asia’s Most Influential Companies are large corporations with “strong influence over people, resources, and global interactions,” according to ACES. Annual winners are chosen based on revenues, profitability, number of employees, innovation, brand influence, and sustainability practices.

Those named as Top Community Centric Companies are organizations that “epitomize the mission and values of an organization that cares for the community and demonstrate exemplary active citizenship in promoting the well-being of society at large,” said ACES.

The Top Workplaces list, meanwhile, includes companies that “show advocacy for investment in people, recognition and retention, improving employees’ job satisfaction, practices fair communication, and promote work-life balance” under the ACES criteria.

In vying for these awards, Ayala underscored its strategic priorities on the road to its 200th year, anchored on its purpose of building businesses that enable people to thrive.

It highlighted its trustworthiness to global partners, financial strength and stability, innovative expansion initiatives to drive growth, well-entrenched sustainability practices, outreach and philanthropic programs that support communities, and a focus on the development, mobility, and wellness of its own people.

Ayala unit Globe Telecom, meanwhile, was awarded ACES Best Workplace in Asia and received its fifth recognition as Industry Champion. Its portfolio company Asticom, was also named among the Top Workplaces in Asia.

Ayala’s ACES wins wrap up a year of multiple awards from local and international organizations that recognized the company’s world-class business leadership, corporate governance, financial innovation, people management, sustainability, and community support.
