International School in Davao sets to represent Davao and the Phil to Global Competition in Yale University USA. Councilor Myrna Dalodo Ortiz Comm Chair Tourism and Trade presented to the City Council the three students of Stockbridge American International School to the members of the City Council.
Ma. Albhy Elis Bayuga Yu, Zia Kyna Retes, and Helaina Isabelle Cabatbat, with their teacher-coach Ms. Jamiela Valcurza, for the prestigious World Scholar’s Cup – Tournament of Champions.
These students from Stockbridge American International School, a member of the Joji Ilagan International Schools, will be representing Davao Region and the Philippines in this international tilt on November 4-12, 2025 at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, USA.
They have earned this opportunity after successfully competing in the Regional Round in Cebu and the Global Round in Bangkok, where they demonstrated excellence in debate, collaborative writing, and academic team challenges.
