THE POLICE Regional Office XI and the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) completed a Health and Wellness Caravan and Outreach Program on July 27, 2025.

Held at the Police Station 2 Sub-Compact, Freedom Park (in front of Marco Polo), the event provided essential health services and support to 100 beneficiaries from various parts of the city.

Col. Mannan C. Muanip, acting city director of DCPO, welcomed the attendees and thanked the PRO XI for spearheading the initiative. He reaffirmed the DCPO’s steadfast support for all PRO XI programs, particularly the Health and Wellness Caravan, which he lauded as a commendable effort directly benefiting the community.

Muanip emphasized that such outreach programs not only promote the health and well-being of citizens but also foster stronger trust and cooperation between the police and the public.

“With this strong partnership and collaboration, we can significantly reduce, if not eradicate, criminality in the city.

This is how we fulfill our mission to serve and protect,” he stated.

Delivering an inspiring message on behalf of Brig Gen Joseph R. Arguelles,  Col Mariano C. Rodriguez, deputy regional director for administration (DRDA) of PRO XI, highlighted the PNP’s commitment.

“Today’s gathering reflects the unwavering commitment of the Philippine National Police to serve not just with vigilance, but with compassion. Through this Health and Wellness Caravan, we are reminded that policing goes beyond enforcement—it extends to genuine care for our communities.

This initiative, in partnership with the Davao City Police Office, brings together essential services that empower our citizens: healthcare, wellness, and support. It is our hope that each beneficiary walks away not just with tangible assistance, but with the knowledge that the PNP stands beside you.”

Further words of encouragement were provided by Dr. Allen Manapat, Medical Officer III of CSQMMH, and Mr. Joseph Palen from the Assessment Center Philippines – Hair and Beauty Skill.

Beneficiaries at the event received comprehensive support, including food packs, free medical check-ups, and medicines, courtesy of the Regional Medical and Dental Unit XI and CSQMMH.

The caravan also offered various wellness services, such as free massages and “libreng gupit” (free haircuts), generously provided by Philippine Hair and Beauty Skill, one of the PNP’s dedicated partner stakeholders.

This joint initiative underscores the shared commitment of PRO XI and DCPO to robust community engagement, holistic public service, and the overall well-being of every citizen in Davao City.
