THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) spearheaded an inter-agency coordination meeting on Sept. 23 at Kapanalig Hall, Camp Captain Domingo E. Leonor.
DCPO director PCOL Peter B. Madria led the convergence, bringing together key representatives from the Land Transportation Office XI, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Region XI, and the Drivers Association of the Philippines Initiative Group Incorporated.
A focal point of the alliance is the upcoming rollout of the LTO “Pasada Project.”
Designed as a mobile, one-stop shop, the initiative aims to bridge the logistical gap for far-flung communities by directly bringing essential frontline transactions to residents, including:
- Processing student permits and driver’s licenses, handling vehicle registration services, and delivering prompt regulatory assistance closer to remote barangays
- Beyond civilian outreach, the partnership also focuses on internal capability-building.
During the session, DAPIGI presented a comprehensive training plan centered on the practical driving course, aimed at upgrading the driving competence and tactical mobility of PNP personnel across the city.
Madria emphasized that the multi-sectoral initiative highlights the profound impact of institutional collaboration.
By pooling resources with LTO, TESDA, and transport groups, the DCPO aims to simultaneously improve grassroots public safety services and make government bureaucracy more responsive to the public.
