FATHER-AND-SON tandem Joel and Reinz Yamyamin achieved a rare double ace in a historic moment at the recent 17th Davao Eaglemasters Golf Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Playing for the Fore the Boys – R1 team, father and son achieved two holes-in-one on the same day and course at the Apo Golf and Country Club, and earned a perpetual free play in the annual event.
Joel Yamyamin aced the set with his 7-iron TaylorMade Qi Max from 165 yards on the par-3 17th hole, while Reinz, using his TaylorMade Stealth 7-iron, struck from 160 yards on the 11th hole.
The father-son duo were both honored at the tournament’s awards night on Sept. 20, 2026, led by Davao Eaglemasters Golf Inc. president Sec. Leo Magno. Their team also won as the gross champion in the Class A category with a total of 380 points.
The 17th Davao Eaglemasters Golf Tournament ran from Sept. 17 to 20, with courses at the Apo Golf and Country Club, Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club, and South Pacific Davao Golf Club. The event was attended by around 900 participants from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, as well as other countries.
