ABREEZA Malls Abreeza is planning to expand its mall footprint to mark its 15th anniversary this year.
During the Business Matters forum, Janice Parreno, general manager of Ayala Malls Abreeza, said the existing mall is already 94% fully leased to tenants.
Parreno said the full scale construction is set to start in the first half of the year.
“The expansion is geared to more elevated concepts, brands and even the feels, but overall, the target market is still the same,” Parreno said.
Parreno said it is expected to have an estimate of 15,000 sqm gross leasable area to cater to more retail spaces. The new wing is targeted to open in the second half of 2028.
The expansion will have five floors where the first three floors are an extension of the existing mall, housing retail stores, and the 4th and 5th floors are for business process outsourcing and office spaces.
Among the brands that are making their Mindanao debut in the new Abreeza spaces are Hoka, Maison Margiela, Sofeyia Home, Foot Locker, along with lifestyle favorites Flying Tiger Copenhagen, Oakley, and Bandai Gashapon.
“This 15th year is really our thank you to Davaoeños for how Ayala Abreeza has been warmly embraced by the whole community,” she said.
Aside from the expansion, Ayala Malls Abreeza will also have a facelift focusing on details from modernized restrooms to enhanced basement parking and common area.
One of the major highlights of the refresh is the transformation of the Roof Garden into an indoor/outdoor sanctuary under a new overhead canopy.
Abreeza will also feature a vibrant lineup for Araw ng Dabaw with a mallwide sale and consumer promotion on March 13-15, which will culminate with a special concert by singer songwriter Rob Deniel on March 15.
