A SUSPECTED high-value target (HVT) is now behind bars after the San Pedro Police seized over ₱161,000 worth of suspected shabu during a midnight buy-bust operation in Purok 2, Quezon Boulevard, Barangay 37-D, at 12:58 a.m. on Monday, April 20.
The suspect, identified only by the alias Kim, was arrested after he handed over a sachet to a police undercover.
Davao City Police Office (DCPO) director Col Peter Bauzon Madria commended the personnel of Police Station 2 (San Pedro), led by Maj Emmanuel D. Manlatican, for the successful operation.
“This accomplishment underscores the strong partnership between the DCPO, barangay officials, the local government, and the vigilant Davaoeño community,” Madria said.
He further urged the public to remain proactive in reporting illegal activities.
“The fight against illegal drugs is not just the responsibility of law enforcement—it is a shared duty of every citizen,” Madria added. “Let us remain united in building a community where safety, peace, and justice prevail.”
The suspect is currently in police custody and faces a charge for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
