THE POLICE Regional Office XI elevated 256 police officers and non-uniformed personnel to higher ranks during a simultaneous oath-taking and donning of ranks ceremony at Camp Sgt. Quintin M. Merecido in Buhangin on Wednesday, July 29.
The ceremony, presided over by PRO XI regional director PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete, honored personnel promoted under the 1st Cycle CY 2026 Regular Promotion Program and merit-based selection for Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP).
Breakdown of promoted personnel
Out of the 256 promotees, 225 belong to the second-level commissioned and non-commissioned officer ranks, while 31 are newly promoted or appointed non-uniform personnel.
The breakdown of promoted police officers includes:
- Police Major (PMAJ): 24
- Police Captain (PCPT): 3
- Police Lieutenant (PLT): 19
- Police Executive Master Sergeant (PCMS): 46
- Police Senior Master Sergeant (PSMS): 2
- Police Master Sergeant (PMSg): 29
- Police Staff Sergeant (PSSg): 61
- Police Corporal (PCpl): 41
A total of 91 promotees from the Regional Headquarters, Davao City Police Office, Provincial Police Offices, and Regional Mobile Force Battalion personally received their new insignia at the parade grounds.
Personnel from outlying units simultaneously took their oaths at their respective provincial and city headquarters via teleconference.
National Police Commission XI director Ma. Teresa Tuburan-Pacudan served as guest speaker alongside members of the PRO 11 promotion boards.
In his address, Rosete reminded the newly promoted officers that advancement in rank demands greater accountability, professionalism, and community service.
“Promotion is not merely a recognition of past achievements, but a greater responsibility to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and excellence in police service,” Rosete said.
