CebPac suspends Davao-BKK flights starting April 13

CEBU Pacific (CEB) announced on Monday that it is suspending direct Davao-Bangkok-Davao (DVO-BKK-DVO) flights starting April 13.

In a statement, the low-cost airline said it will implement temporary network adjustments, including frequency reductions and international flight cancellations due to the rising fuel prices caused by the Middle East conflict.

The DVO-BKK-DVO with flight number 5G5964/5965 will be suspended from April 13 until Oct. 23.

Cebu Pacific offered the direct flight, which started last October 2024, operating three times a week.

“We understand that these changes may disrupt travel plans, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience,” The airline said. 

The following routes will also face suspensions:

  • The Iloilo – Bangkok (Don Mueang) – Iloilo service (Flights 5J 5970 / 5971) is suspended from April 17 to October 24, 2026.
  • For the Iloilo – Singapore corridor, Flight 5J 283 is suspended from June 15 to October 23, 2026, while the return Singapore – Iloilo Flight 5J 284 is suspended from June 16 to October 24, 2026
  • The Clark – Hanoi – Clark route (Flights 5J 5872 / 5873) will be suspended between May 2 and October 25, 2026.

In addition to these suspensions, several routes will experience frequency reductions:

  • The Cebu – Singapore flight (5J 547) will be reduced from 7x to 5x weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays between April 16 and October 24, 2026, while the return Singapore – Cebu flight (5J 548) will see the same reduction on Fridays and Sundays from April 17 to October 25, 2026.
  • The Manila – Jakarta – Manila route (Flights 5J 759 / 760) will decrease from 7x to 4x weekly between April 14 and October 25, 2026.
  • For the Manila – Kuala Lumpur sector, Flight 5J 501 will be reduced from 7x to 5x weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays from April 15 to October 23, 2026, while Flight 5J 502 (Kuala Lumpur – Manila) will follow suit on Thursdays and Saturdays from April 16 to October 24, 2026.

Long-haul services are also affected, with the Manila – Melbourne service (5J 049) and its return Melbourne – Manila flight (5J 050) reduced from 5x to 4x weekly, specifically on May 14 and 28, and May 15 and 29, respectively

Meanwhile, Manila – Sydney route (5J 039) will drop from 7x to 5x weekly on May 4, 8, 13, 17, 22, 27, and 31, with the Sydney – Manila return (5J 040) adjusted on May 5, 9, 14, 18, 23, 28, and June 1.

Affected passengers can either get free rebooking, convert to travel fund, or get a refund through the Manage Booking portal on the CEB website

“These network adjustments have been carefully implemented to address the current impact, with the rest of our network expected to operate as scheduled,” it added.
