Ulas drug den dismantled

AUTHORITIES seized ₱119,000 worth of suspected shabu during a buy-bust operation in Purok 40-A, Barangay Upper Ulas, on Jan. 24, which also resulted in the dismantling of a drug den.

PDEA XI spokesperson Nephi Noli Dimaandal reported that the operation, conducted at approximately 5:05 p.m., led to the arrest of the alleged den maintainer, identified as Efren, 48.

The arrest was made after the suspect sold a one-gram sachet of suspected shabu worth ₱7,000 to an undercover agent.

Three other individuals, identified by their aliases Fhel, Rolando, and Ronie, were also apprehended during the raid.

The PDEA XI Regional Special Enforcement Team-Davao City, National Bureau of Investigation Southeastern Mindanao, and Police Precinct 15 (Ecoland Police Station) launched the operation.

Law enforcers recovered 11 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 16 grams with an estimated street value of ₱112,000, along with various drug paraphernalia and the marked buy-bust money.

The suspects are now in custody and will face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
