Tagum resident shot dead at Davao gas station

A MAN was shot to death by unidentified perpetrators at a gasoline station in Bago Aplaya, around noon at Shell Gas Station in Bago Aplaya on Dec. 23, 2025.

Alias George, aged around 30-45 years old, a resident of Danville Subdivision, Tagum City, died on the spot after being shot at close range.

The victim had reportedly just purchased medicine from a nearby drugstore. He was tailed by the unidentified gunman as he made his way toward the gasoline station.

The perpetrator, described as wearing a helmet and a long-sleeved shirt paired with shorts, approached the victim and fired two shots to his head using an unidentified firearm, according to the report from the Davao City Police Office.

The gunman fled the scene on a black Honda Beat motorcycle, heading toward Toril. 

Authorities have yet to determine the motive behind the killing. However, they secured the CCTV footage from the gas station and surrounding establishments to potentially get a glimpse of the gunman.
