DAVAO CITY — For the seventh time, AboitizPower subsidiary Therma South, Inc. (TSI) was recognized as the Top 1 Real Property Taxpayer in Davao City and as Top 4 Business Taxpayer during the Pasidungog 2026: Garbo sa Dabaw, one of the official events of the Araw ng Dabaw celebration.
Through its consistent tax contributions, TSI plays a key role in funding major city developments, infrastructure projects, and public services.
For 2025, Davao City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) accounted for around Php 15 billion pesos worth of City Revenue from all its taxpayers, which is 12.93 percent higher than the 2024 collection
Moreover, the Davao CTO underscored that the timely payment of tax obligations, the increase in the number of professionals, and business activities were vital in achieving the City’s economic growth.
“AboitizPower has long been committed to Davao’s growth. More than fulfilling obligations, we are actively supporting the City’s initiatives to help improve the quality of life for all Dabawenyos,” John Paul Patiño, TSI Facility Head, said.
The City Government of Davao commended the efforts and contributions of partners from the private sector whose support has helped shape the city’s progress over the years.
The Pasidungog 2026: Garbo sa Dabaw awarding ceremony honors private companies, organizations, and individuals that have significantly contributed to the success of Davao City’s programs and initiatives. The event forms part of the annual festivities celebrating the city’s founding.
