BANKING may look very different today than it did decades ago. But for many Filipinos, one thing remains the same—having a bank they can rely on through life’s important moments.
For Emmylou O., that relationship with Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank) began over 28 years ago at a branch beside her workplace in Putatan, Muntinlupa. What started as a simple savings account grew into a lifelong partnership, with PSBank supporting her family through an Auto Loan, a Home Loan, and other major milestones, anchored by the genuine care and malasakit of her branch team.
When her daughter recently got married, Emmylou’s advice to the newlyweds was simple: start their financial journey with PSBank—continuing a family relationship with the bank that has spanned generations.
Emmylou’s story reflects PSBank’s 66-year commitment to Filipino families, showing how a banking relationship can grow beyond transactions and become part of a family’s journey across generations.
A Legacy Built Across Decades
PSBank’s journey began with its incorporation in June 1959 and the opening of its first branch in Plaza Miranda, Quiapo, in 1960. Since then, the way Filipinos bank has continuously evolved—from passbooks and branch banking to 24/7 ATMs, debit cards, and smartphone apps.
Through every era, PSBank has stayed true to keeping banking simple and reliable. Today, its network of 250 branches and 500+ ATMs nationwide is complemented by digital services that make banking more accessible wherever customers are.
For PSBank, being a trusted partner means being there as customers’ financial needs evolve—from saving for everyday expenses and financing a new car or home, to building a business and preparing for the future.
Simpler Banking for Every Generation
That commitment also means making financial services more accessible.
Being a partner through generations means evolving with our customers as their lives, needs, and aspirations change. We want to make banking more accessible, convenient, and responsive, while staying true to what PSBank has always stood for: being Simple at Maaasahan. Because what we do today can help create possibilities for tomorrow—and for the generations that follow,” PSBank president Jose Vicente Alde said.
With InstaPay transfers now made free, customers can send money anytime for family, bills, and everyday needs. Opening an account is also easy online via PSBank Mobile with one valid ID, no minimum deposit, and no maintaining balance.
Access to credit is another important part of the equation. PSBank Auto Loan provides credit decisions within 24 hours, while PSBank Home Loan provides decisions within one day, helping customers move forward with major financial decisions with less waiting.
Technology has made banking more convenient, but PSBank believes the human connection remains just as important. The latest features on PSBank Mobile give customers greater control and security, while its 24/7 Customer Experience support ensures that help remains available when they need it.
Together, for Generations
From a first savings account to a first home, from building a career to raising a family, every generation has its own financial journey.
The way Filipinos bank may continue to change, but the things they look for in a bank remain familiar: simplicity, reliability, and someone they can count on. These are embedded in PSBank’s promise, “Simple Lang, Maasahan.”
For 66 years, PSBank has grown with its customers, adapting to their evolving needs while remaining a bank they can rely on through life’s changing chapters.
Because being a trusted banking partner is not simply about being there for one milestone. It is about being there for the many chapters that follow—and sometimes, for the generations that come after.
For 66 years, PSBank has been part of the financial journeys of generations of Filipinos. And it will continue to be there—Simple Lang, Maasahan—for generations to come.
