PUBLIC works authorities reopened a single lane of the Davao–Bukidnon Road in Sitio Marahan, Barangay Marilog Proper, to light vehicular traffic on Monday, Aug. 3, following ongoing road rehabilitation work in the area.
According to a traffic advisory released Monday, the partially opened section is accessible to light private vehicles, public utility buses, and light cargo delivery vans. Heavy-load commercial trucks remain restricted while repair operations continue.
Transportation officials cautioned motorists that access along the one-lane stretch will remain conditional, depending on real-time road conditions and active site repairs.
Periodic full closures may still be implemented without prior notice to accommodate heavy machinery, ensure uninterrupted engineering works, and protect the safety of field workers and travelers.
Local traffic management personnel deployed to Sitio Marahan are directing the alternate flow of vehicles.
Authorities urged drivers to exercise heightened caution, strictly follow field controllers, and monitor official bulletins for further updates.
