MAJOR General Alvin Luzon, commander of the 10th Infantry Division and vice chairman of the Regional Peace and Order Council XI (RPOC XI), spearheaded security discussions during the council’s 3rd Quarter Full Council Meeting held at the Davao Oriental Provincial Capitol on Sept. 15.
Presided over by chairperson Davao Oriental Governor Nelson Dayanghirang, the meeting convened regional leaders, local officials, and security stakeholders to tackle critical peace and order concerns across the Davao Region.
The council addressed a wide array of pressing issues affecting local communities, including anti-criminality campaigns, public safety measures, illegal drug suppression, school security frameworks, and emerging regional challenges.
During the session, the 10th Infantry Division delivered a comprehensive briefing outlining its ongoing security initiatives.
Luzon highlighted the division’s dual focus on sustaining hard-won gains in internal security operations (ISO) while simultaneously ramping up capabilities in external security operations.
Military leadership underscored that these integrated operations are vital to fostering a stable, secure environment necessary for long-term economic growth and development throughout the Davao Region.
The 10ID reaffirmed its steadfast partnership with local government units and law enforcement agencies under the RPOC XI framework, pledging continued collaboration to protect communities and build a resilient peace across the countryside.
