- PRO XI captures 11 fugitives, over P195-K in drugs seized
POLICE operatives arrested 11 wanted fugitives and seized nearly ₱196,000 worth of illegal drugs during a 24-hour law enforcement sweep, according to data released Sunday by the Police Regional Office (PRO) XI.
The data covered the period from 6 a.m. on Aug. 1 to 5:59 a.m. on Aug. 2, 2026, and involved a series of simultaneous anti-crime operations overseen by PRO XI regional director PBGEN Leon Victor Z. Rosete.
In its campaign against wanted persons, the PRO XI executed 12 police operations, resulting in the apprehension of 11 individuals.
Among those on the list were one top ten most wanted, two other most wanted persons, and eight additional fugitives facing various charges.
Simultaneously, drug enforcement units launched eight separate operations, arresting or rescuing 11 individuals.
The raids yielded 28.563 grams of suspected shabu and 10.9 grams of marijuana, with a combined standard drug price of ₱195,536.40.
The 24-hour regional crackdown also targeted illegal weapons, contraband, and local violations:
- Loose firearms: Six operations resulted in two arrests and the recovery or turnover of seven firearms and explosive items.
- Illegal gambling: Three raids led to five arrests, the seizure of 13 gambling paraphernalia items, and ₱2,860 in confiscated bet money.
- Smuggling & illegal logging: Police conducted 13 anti-smuggling operations, seizing ₱16,690 worth of contraband, alongside one anti-illegal logging operation that recovered 60 board feet of lumber valued at ₱1,800.
- Local ordinances: Units recorded 1,353 ordinance violations across the region, issuing fines to 847 individuals and warnings to 506 others.
PRO XI reaffirmed that continuous, synchronized operations will remain active across all provinces and cities in the region to uphold public order and safety.
