IN CELEBRATION of International Identity Day this September 2026, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) XI highlights the continuing progress of the National ID Program in Davao Region—from expanding registration coverage to promoting the wider use of the National ID through the National ID Authentication Services (NIDAS).
As of 26 September 2026, a total of 4,983,715 individuals have been registered in the National ID System in Davao Region. As registration continues, PSA XI is also working with organizations that are interested in using the National ID for identity verification through NIDAS.
To date, 21 organizations have participated in National ID System Integration meetings conducted by PSA Region XI. These include government offices, educational and healthcare institutions, cooperatives, and other organizations. These meetings provide information on the National ID Authentication Services (NIDAS), its requirements, and the process of becoming a Relying Party (RP).
One of the recent engagements was held on 23 September 2026 with the Provincial Information and Communications Technology Office (PICTO) of Davao de Oro. The meeting, conducted by PSO Davao de Oro in collaboration with PSA RSSO XI and the Government Service Use Cases Division of the PhilSys Registry Office, discussed the proposed integration of NIDAS into PICTO’s Telemedicine System, which is scheduled to launch in October 2026.
Through these efforts, PSA Region XI remains committed to strengthening partnerships and promoting the use of the National ID to support secure identity verification and easier access to services.
