THE TALOMO police arrested two men for the alleged theft of PLDT underground cables at 3 a.m. on Aug. 29, 2025, from the utility company’s manhole at the corner of Sunrise Village and Aplaya Road.

According to a police report, officers from Police Station 3-Talomo were en route to a checkpoint when they noticed a Suzuki close van (plate number KAK 4608) parked in the middle of the road.

Upon closer inspection, they observed two men, later identified as alias Ace, 30, and alias Joselito, 29, cutting the cable in the manhole.

The officers immediately arrested the two men.

Authorities recovered four pieces of cut underground cable, each approximately 2.5 meters in length, along with assorted tools used for the theft.

The suspects are now detained in the Talomo Police Station.
