THE NAVAL Forces Eastern Mindanao (NFEM) has officially wrapped up a rigorous three-day deployment drill designed to sharpen the combat readiness and operational capabilities of the region’s naval reservists.
The closing ceremony for the Philippine Navy Reserve Force-Eastern Mindanao Mobilization Exercise 2026 (MOBEX 2026) was held at the multi-purpose covered court in Naval Station Felix Apolinario, Panacan.
The intensive multi-day program tested reservists through a rigorous blend of land-based and at-sea drills.
Day one kicked off with R2P2 exercises and camp defense drills, laying the groundwork for tactical coordination.
The focus shifted to maritime waters on the second day, where reservists underwent demanding at-sea serials.
These included communication exercises, emergency getting underway protocols, general quarters simulations, man-overboard search and rescue operations, and specialized fire-at-sea training designed to mirror real-world naval emergencies.
The final leg of the mobilization featured comprehensive debriefings and evaluations.
Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao deputy commander CAPT Leo Dimoc stood in as the keynote speaker, delivering the commander’s official message to the graduating participants.
Military officials emphasized that MOBEX 2026 underscores the Navy’s strategic push to seamlessly integrate its Reserve Force with regular units.
The initiative aims to fortify overall combat preparedness and ensure a swift, highly capable response to regional security contingencies and maritime emergencies under the banner of a “Modern and Ready, Strong and Steady” armed forces.
