THE CITY Information Office (CIO) has announced the new events to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of Araw ng Panabo next month
During the Habi at Kape Forum in SM Lanang on Friday, Feb. 13, Panabo City spokesperson Michael Angelo Resueño said this year’s Araw ng Panabo features a month-long celebration, coinciding with Women’s Month activities.
“Our Araw ng Panabo is supposed to be for only one day but we will celebrate it for one month beginning March 1 to March 30,” Resueño said.
Among the highlights, he said, will be the State of the Women Address and the recognition of10 winners for Women of the Year.
Also, they will celebrate Fire Prevention Month and Combat challenge, spearhead by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), along with the Rabies Prevention Month and a dog show.
In line with the Araw ng Panabo celebration, they also lined up several activities like sports, health programs, and meetings with stakeholders in Panabo City, culminating in the awarding for “Outstanding Panaboans” who have helped the community Furthermore, he said they will also host a free concert and the Ginoong Panabo returns this year after a three-year hiatus.
