  • DCPO dismantles major drug operation; arrests top city-level priority target

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) caught the top city-level priority drug target in Talomo District in Purok 10-A, Barangay Matina Pangi, on Wednesday morning, Nov. 26, 2025.

The suspect, identified only as alias Janjan, was arrested in the operation spearheaded by the Special Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Police Station 3 (Talomo), led by Major Genesis Oriel.

They confiscated eight jumbo heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be Shabu (Methamphetamine hydrochloride) from the suspect.

The seized illegal drugs carried an estimated standard drug price of P9,010,000.

Meanwhile, acting city director Col. Mannan C. Muarip said, “This operation is a clear demonstration of the DCPO’s unwavering commitment to dismantle illegal drug networks and protect our communities.”

“Guided by the D.A.V.A.O. framework, we will continue to pursue high-value drug personalities and ensure that Davaoeños live in a safe and drug-free environment,” he added.

The D.A.V.A.O. framework refers to Discipline, Action, Virtue, Accountability, and Order.

He urged the public to remain vigilant and supportive of the police campaign considering that the fight against illegal drugs requires community support.
