THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) tracked and arrested a top fugitive on its list in a coordinated cross-regional manhunt that ended in General Santos City.

The fugitive, identified only by the alias Bagay, was apprehended by operating teams on June 3, 2026, at around 8:10 p.m. in Kulasi, Barangay Labangal, General Santos City.

Bagay, who sits at the apex of the city’s most wanted list, is facing several drug charges under Criminal Case Number R-DVO-21-04835-CR for Violation of Section 5, Paragraph 1, in relation to Section 25, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), as amended by R.A. No. 10640. The warrant for his arrest was issued with no bail recommended.

The DCPO’s Police Station 4 (Sasa), under commander Maj Raymundo B. Bacera Jr., spearheaded the successful operation. They coordinated with General Santos City Police Office–Station 2, the Criminal Investigation Detection Group-Davao City Field Unit, and the Regional Mobile Force Battalion XI.

DCPO city director Col Peter Bauzon Madria lauded the inter-agency collaboration that led to the breakthrough.

“The Davao City Police Office remains relentless in its campaign against wanted persons and criminality. We will continue to intensify our operations to ensure that fugitives are arrested and made accountable before the law,” Madria said, emphasizing that strong community support and cross-border police intelligence remain the city’s strongest weapons against high-profile criminals.
