POLICE arrested a high-value individual and seized suspected shabu valued at an estimated P244,800 during a buy-bust in Purok 6, Santan Street, Barangay Mintal, Tugbok District at 1:38 a.m. on Saturday, July 12.
Authorities identified the suspect as alias Tingoy, 23, a construction worker residing in Purok 18, Barangay Mintal.
Captain Hazel Caballero, the spokesperson of the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), said the police classified him as the top three regional-level high-value individual in the illegal drug trade.
Personnel from the Tugbok Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) XI conducted the operation.
During the operation, authorities seized a sachet containing suspected shabu, serving as the object of sale, with an estimated standard drug price of P6,800.
Another sachet of believed to be shabu with a substantial estimated Standard Drug Price of P 238,000, and P9,000 boodle money.
Tingoy is now in police custody and will face charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
