Davao City – In line with its Mother’s Day campaign, Maxim Rides & Food Delivery organized a donation activity at SOS Children’s Village Davao on May 7, 2026, distributing hygiene and toiletry kits.
SOS Children’s Village Davao is a private, non-political, non-denominational organization that provides long-term, family-based care and education to children in need. Children who have lost parental care are raised in a family-like environment alongside an SOS mother, their siblings, and other children. They receive holistic care and support until they are ready to live independently.
An SOS mother lives with the children and attends to their daily needs while respecting each child’s culture, family background, and personal story. Through her constant presence and guidance, she provides the care and emotional support the children need as they grow.
The outreach benefited 79 children by providing essential personal care and hygiene supplies. A team composed of two staff members and five driver-partners facilitated the delivery of the donations.
Justin Ben Palantang, Philanthropy and Partnership Officer of SOS Children’s Village Davao, shared his appreciation: “On behalf of the entire village of SOS Children’s Village Davao, we would like to express our gratitude for this impactful initiative, which will greatly benefit the children, youth, and even the coworkers dedicated to serving them. Thank you for making a significant difference and for partnering with us. Together, let us give hope a chance for the children.”
Mama Myrna, a mother representative from the village, also expressed her gratitude: “Daghang salamat kaayo sa Maxim. Makatabang jud ni sa mga bata, labi na karon nga summer season, kay ma-challenge jud sila sa ilang personal hygiene kung wala kining mga donations.” Maxim continues to carry out initiatives that promote care and support within communities while recognizing the importance of families.
